Visiting the Care Show 2024
The Lidder Care team had a fantastic experience attending the Care Show at the NEC in Birmingham! This event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with fellow care professionals and explore the latest advancements shaping the care industry. We attended a range of insightful seminars that covered key topics and innovations, sparking ideas and inspiration.

Celebrating Diwali
We celebrated Diwali with a joyful day of colourful decorations, delicious Indian cuisine crafted by our talented kitchen team and beautiful henna art. Residents also enjoyed videos showcasing the stunning sights of India, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The highlight of the day was a beautiful performance by a talented Indian dancer. She shared the stories behind each dance and taught us a few moves for everyone to join in. With each step, the room was filled with joy and energy.
Newgate Lodge residents carve pumpkins for Halloween
Our residents at Newgate Lodge Care Home got into the Halloween spirit by turning pumpkins into festive plant pots! The activity was a fantastic way for everyone to get creative, from carving unique designs to transforming pumpkins into charming seasonal planters that now brighten up our spaces.
The residents had a wonderful time carving and decorating pumpkins, enjoying the vibrant colours and sensory experience of the activity.

Aman is an accomplished professional with diverse experience in counselling, forensics, compliance, and social care. She began her career at the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, co-authoring the key legal resource “Therapists in Court,” before transitioning into the financial sector with PwC and HSBC.
Following a career break dedicated to raising her family, Aman returned to the workforce in social care with Lidder Care. Her commitment to employee wellbeing led her to introduce a successful program and obtain Mental Health First Aider certification. Additionally, her training as a Personal and Business Life Coach has equipped her to guide teams on leadership and collaboration.
At Lidder Care, Aman spearheaded refurbishment projects, integrated digital care planning software, and implemented compliance frameworks. Outside of work, she is a passionate runner and fundraiser, completing the London Marathon and raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Society. Her diverse interests also extend to film reviews and writing for a Bollywood magazine.
