Lidder Care Expands Fundraising Efforts For Specialist Dementia Tables

Lidder Care, who operate Newgate Lodge Care Home and Lowmoor Nursing Home, has unveiled an ambitious fundraising campaign aimed at raising £5000 to purchase specialist dementia tables for their residents.

The money will be used to acquire two dementia tables for residents at Newgate Lodge Care Home and Lowmoor Nursing Home. The fundraising campaign will be driven by a series of activities, events and community support over the coming months.

Recently, the employees and children at Little Chiefs – Wiggles and Giggles Day Nursery in Mansfield demonstrated their dedication to the cause. The nursery hosted a fun-filled pyjama week, raising an impressive £254, which has been generously donated to support the Tiny Tablet fundraiser.

Newgate Lodge Care Home also received a generous £200 donation from Ian and Carolyn Harrison, whose loved one was previously cared for at the home.

Lidder Care employees, residents and loved ones, are participating in various exciting upcoming events to raise money for this important cause. Some of the exciting activities include:

24th April – A quiz night – Newgate Lodge Care Home are hosting a quiz night in April, with exciting prizes up for grabs and a selection of drinks and snacks available.

10th May – A fundraising fancy dress walk – Both homes will participate in a themed fundraising walk in May, where employees and residents will dress up in creative costumes.

11th June – A 77-mile exercise bike ride – Employees and residents at Newgate Lodge are taking on a 77 mile exercise bike ride to support the cause.

6th July – A Tough Mudder 10K challenge – The Lidder Care operations team will tackle the challenging 10K obstacle course at Belvoir Castle to raise additional funds for the dementia tables.

Raffle of a Signed Match Ball – A signed match ball from the Mansfield Town vs Rotherham United football game will be raffled off, with the proceeds benefiting the fundraiser. The draw will take place on May 16, 2025.

Supplied by Tiny Tablet, the tables will enrich residents’ lives by providing therapeutic engagement, offering sensory stimulation, encouraging social interaction and improving overall well-being for residents.
