Leanne Taylor-Horne

Activities Coordinator

Leanne began her journey with the activities team at Newgate Lodge Care Home in 2023, bringing valuable care experience from her previous roles as a teaching assistant, nursery nurse and later as a carer. She has over 12 years of experience working in activity-based roles.

Her favourite part of the role is bringing smiles to residents’ faces and experiencing meaningful breakthroughs with residents who don’t typically engage with activities.

She also enjoys creating memorable experiences, from organising events and supporting community outings to delivering person-centred one-to-one and group activities. She feels that her work makes a real difference and finds the role incredibly rewarding.

Outside of work, Leanne loves weekend getaways in her tourer caravan, discovering new areas and enjoying scenic walks with her dogs.
