Fundraising, Awards Nights and Billboards: Recent Events at Lidder Care

At Lidder Care, we have had a busy few months. From major fundraising drives towards a sensory table for our residents to awards nights to new billboards spreading our message of our new compassionate home care service in Mansfield and Ashfield. We’re proud to share how residents, staff, families and the wider community have come together to raise funds, celebrate achievements and highlight our commitment to compassionate care in Mansfield.

Celebrating Hitting Our Fundraising Target

Thanks to the incredible fundraising efforts of our residents, staff, families and the local community – raising nearly £10,000 – we were thrilled to welcome the new Tiny Tablet specialist sensory tables into both of our homes this week.

We are proud to have fundraised by taking part in a range of challenging, engaging and community led activities such as the Tough Mudder 15KM Challenge, fancy dress walks, 77KM cycling challenges and much more. We have also received generous donations from across the loical community.

Proud To Care Nottinghamshire 2025 Awards Finalists

We’re absolutely delighted to share that we had two runners-up at this year’s event, hosted by the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Care Association.

A huge congratulations to Chris Morrisson, Home Manager at Lowmoor Nursing Home who was recognised in the Leader of the Year category and Maggie Blower, Deputy Manager at Lowmoor Nursing Home who was recognised in the Social Care Nurse / Nursing Associate of the Year.

Making Extra Special Memorable Moments

One of our amazing residents at Newgate Lodge Care Home recently had a wonderful surprise visit from her family who came all the way from Canada! We love seeing these heartfelt reunions and feel honoured to provide a safe, welcoming space for families to share such precious moments together.

We loved meeting so many fantastic people at the Mansfield Careers Fair, where we shared the exciting opportunities available here at Lidder Care. It was inspiring to meet so many passionate individuals eager to make a real difference in the care sector.

Paying Our Respects

Across Lidder Care, and as pictured at Lowmoor Nursing Home, we paid our respects by taking part in the two-minute silence on Remembrance Day. It is important that at Lidder Care, we honour and remember those who sacrificed so much, and ensure our residents, families, and team have the space to reflect together.
