Dignity: Respect At The Heart Of Our Care

At Lidder Care, dignity means treating every individual with the respect, compassion and consideration they deserve. Across our care homes in Mansfield and Ashfield and our home care service across the local area, dignity is embedded within our interactions, everyday choices and the care and support we provide.

A recent example from our Home Care service saw our team support a client who felt anxious about having her first haircut since before the COVID-19 pandemic. By listening to her concerns, providing reassurance and respecting her choices, she was supported to have her hair cut comfortably in her own home. This simple but meaningful achievement helped her feel happier and more confident while ensuring she remained in control throughout.

Meaningful Interactions

Dignity starts with communication. Our teams speak to residents and home care clients with respect, take the time to listen and ensure everyone has the opportunity to express their concerns, thoughts, preferences and choices.
