Lowmoor Nursing Home
Lidder Care, Nottinghamshire
Residential, Dementia and Nursing Care
The activities team works extremely hard getting to know the real person, as well as their health needs. Using their personal ‘this is me’ booklet, we take a holistic, individual approach, and tailor all events to match the individual needs of each resident. We establish their history, hobbies and interests and incorporate this rich historical information into all the daily activities planned by our creative and excellent events team.
Some of our main facilities include a fully functioning corner shop, our Lavender Tearoom and our pub where they can meet up with family and friends and relax playing bar games while enjoying a tasty beverage. There is never a dull moment at Lowmoor Nursing Home with a friendly, kind and caring staff team ensuring our residents are full of laughter at all of the fun being had. Our home has an environment that is ideal for people living with dementia and can help improve a person’s quality of life. We enable residents to stay safe, whilst being physically active and engaged.
The Gothic biking club have become great friends of Lowmoor Nursing Home attending the service with motorbikes. The British Legion also have been an excellent community source for therapeutically crafting strong community links for our residents. The local Police force have visited with riot vans and the Police officers were such good fun we are becoming popular in the local newspapers. Staff at the service have hosted their own pantomimes and “Lidders Got Talent” show. Residents have been out picking litter and assisting the homeless with a soup kitchen. This gives our residents and our staff team an immense sense of well-being as we are giving something back to the local community and is a very important part of our company ethos.
