Visitors At Lowmoor Nursing Home

We encourage visits from family and friends every day, with an open-door policy meaning you don’t need to book in advance. We also support the involvement of loved ones in activity sessions or days out, allowing our residents and their friends or family to spend quality time together.

Relatives and friends are also welcomed to join their loved one for food or special occasions. Between visits, our residents have the option to keep in contact by phone, the internet, mail and photographs.

It is of great priority to us that our residents maintain a life they are familiar with. This involves taking part in familiar activities and having a comfortable routine and home, but most importantly, maintaining strong relationships with loved ones during their time in our home.

Lowmoor Nursing Home is situated in the market town of Kirkby-in-Ashfield with good bus, rail and road links and only a short journey to the picturesque settings of Newstead Abbey and Sherwood Forest.

We believe that open communication develops relationships, therefore we welcome the views or suggestions of relatives and friends of those in our care. This includes inviting loved ones and representatives to meet with multidisciplinary teams to be actively involved in the care planning and review process, creating the best care plan possible.
