Newgate Lodge Care Home Facilities

Newgate Lodge Care Home is a purpose-built residential home providing day-to-day support for elderly residents. This home is designed to accommodate those needing a lower level of care as well as residents with dementia.

Newgate Lodge has a range of modern facilities to ensure the comfort and well-being of our residents. Beautifully landscaped gardens, homely lounges and spacious dining areas create a welcoming and warm home

Inside the home we have 60 beautifully designed en-suite bedrooms. The assisted bathrooms are equipped with mechanically powered (Arjo and Parker) baths, with separate showering facilities (wet rooms). Adjoining rooms are also available for married couples or partners/siblings.

Our rooms are designed to the preference of each resident, offering a homely feel that is both comfortable and bespoke. All our bedrooms ate installed with nurse call systems, private aerial, internet access and a telephone point.

In the gardens of our beautiful home, we have a secure, calming courtyard featuring a water fountain, flowers, fruit and vegetable plants, and patio furniture. This area offers residents and their loved ones a peaceful space to enjoy our stunning gardens. Our new purpose-built sensory garden provides additional outdoor spaces that are ideal for spending quality time with loved ones.

Residents can enjoy alfresco dining and relaxation in the sun in our outdoor area. Our outdoor facilities offer a stimulating environment with beautiful scenery, perfect for socialising with fellow residents and participating in activities such as gardening and yoga.

Our home has two dining rooms which are designed to make mealtimes enjoyable. Our five-star catering team prepare and serve delicious, nutritious meals for residents and staff to enjoy together. 

Our dedicated catering team provide a diverse range of menu options, so our residents have the freedom to choose their own meals. Our trained head chef and catering team understand the nutritional needs of older people, creating meals that contribute to a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

Our Lifestyle and Wellbeing team plan a wide range of meaningful activities such as arts and crafts and armchair exercises to enrich our residents’ mental and physical well-being and encourage socialisation amongst residents. We also hold social events and have live performances at the home to encourage a fun atmosphere and social interaction.

We recognise the importance of socialising and spending time with others, which is why we place a strong emphasis on social activities at Newgate Lodge. We aim to build close bonds with residents, whilst also ensuring the ensuring that relationships with loved ones remain strong by welcoming visitors every day of the week.

We encourage visits from family and friends every day at Newgate Lodge Care Home. We also support the involvement of loved ones in activity sessions or days out, allowing our residents and their friends or family to spend quality time together.

We believe that open communication develops positive relationships, which is why we welcome the views or suggestions of relatives and friends of those in our care. We also invite loved ones and representatives to be actively involved in the care planning process with regular reviews to ensure we continue to meet their changing needs.
