Outdoors At Newgate Lodge Care Home

We extend our beautiful facilities to our external area where we have an enclosed, secure and attractive garden courtyard with a fountain. During the summer months, we fully utilise this lovely garden space with a covered gazebo and outdoor seating area. Here, our residents can enjoy alfresco dining or tea and biscuits by the fountain which holds our resident goldfish and fills the garden with soft relaxing sounds of water.

Our outdoor facilities give residents a stimulating environment with beautiful scenery. Exploring this area is a great opportunity to socialise with fellow residents and to participate in outdoor activities such as gardening and yoga.

We also have a separate sensory/tactile garden area which is particularly beneficial for those living with dementia which is currently being refreshed and revamped to give the best stimulating experience.

We both encourage and assist the residents in our care to spend time in our garden where they can relax in our comfortable seating area, watch the birds, enjoy the company of others or simply take in the beautiful environment.
