Visitors At Newgate Lodge Care Home

We encourage visits from family and friends every day at Newgate Lodge Care Home. We also support the involvement of loved ones in activity sessions or days out, allowing our residents and their friends or family to spend quality time together. Our home is situated close to the town centre with good bus, rail and road links and is only a short journey to the picturesque settings of Newstead Abbey and Sherwood Forest.

We believe that open communication develops relationships, therefore we welcome the views or suggestions of relatives and friends of those in our care. We also invite loved ones and representatives to be actively involved in the care planning process with regular reviews to ensure we continue to meet their changing needs.

It is of great priority to us that our residents maintain a life they are familiar with. This involves taking part in familiar activities and having a comfortable routine and home, but most importantly, maintaining strong relationships with loved ones during their time in our home by welcoming visitors every day and keeping in touch.

Between visits, our residents have access to our private telephone call areas where they are offered assistance from our Activities Co-ordinator. They also have the option to keep in contact by phone, the internet, mail and photographs.
