At just a 3 minute drive away from our Newgate Lodge Care home here in Mansfield, it’s perfect for those struggling with mobility.

One of the midlands most well-known forests, Sherwood Pines is perfect for all ages. With beautiful landscapes and trails for all abilities, it’s clear to see why it is one of the most loved woodland areas in Mansfield.

Hardwick Hall is a national trust owned building, that makes a perfect day out on a sunny afternoon. An Elizabethan house developed by the Devonshire family in the late 1500s, the estate is surrounded by woodland walks and gardens with picturesque views.

With gardens anyone would envy, Hardwick Hall is a lovely place to explore on those warmer days. Only a 20 minute drive from New Gate Lodge, and open 7 days a week, why not take advantage of this glorious day out on your doorstep.

Why not stop off in the Great Barn restaurant or gift shop on the way out? With locally produced products it’s the perfect place to look for a keepsake of your time at Hardwick Hall. Or simply enjoy your time at the cafe, with seasonal menus changing often, there’s always something to keep everyone happy.
